How to Keep Produce Fresh 3x Longer

by Megan Kioulafofski March 2, 2021
7 minutes read

Americans waste 30-40% of the food we produce each year. That’s a staggering number, especially when so many Americans are food insecure.

Sometimes it’s impossible to use all the food we buy. You intend to, but you let it go a day too long in the refrigerator. Or it turns a day or two after you buy it.

Either way, it ends up in the trash. Throwing food away is a waste of food and a waste of money.

Are you tired of wasting your money? Do you want to learn how to keep produce fresh?

Check out our fresh produce guide guaranteed to reduce your food waste.

Learn How to Buy Fresh

What do you do when you shop for produce? Do you buy the first thing on the shelf and move on? That’s a strategy guaranteed to fail.

Keeping produce fresh starts with buying the freshest produce possible. Buying the freshest possible means training your eyes and your nose. It means being choosy.

It takes time to learn how to buy produce, but there are some easy rules of thumb.

When buying leafy greens, look for a deep green color. Avoid leafy greens that are discolored or look wilted.

For fruits and vegetables, look for fragrant smells and tight skins. Avoid any that feels soft to the touch. Don’t buy discolored fruits and vegetables.

Keep in mind when you plan to eat your fruits and vegetables. Buying underripe tomatoes and avocados for later in the week is a way to prevent them from turning.

Learn How to Store

You can’t put all your produce in the crisper. Nor can you leave it unrefrigerated. Certain fruits and vegetables stay fresh in the fridge, while others turn quicker.

Some produce releases ethylene gas. This naturally occurring gas causes other produce to turn when in contact. Keep ethylene-sensitive produce away from fruits and vegetables producing this gas.

Storing Onions, Garlic, and Shallots

Keep onions, garlic, and shallots out of the refrigerator. Store them in a cool place free from moisture and away from root vegetables.

Onions and garlic cause potatoes and root vegetables to sprout.

If you use half an onion, you should place it in the fridge. Make sure to seal it in an airtight bag.

Leafy Greens

Excess moisture is the enemy of leafy greens. Store them in the fridge, but do not wash and then store. The moisture on the leaves turns them soggy.

Greens last longer in bags designed to keep produce fresh. Check out The Freshie Food Saver Bag, where the organic cotton material allows your greens to breathe and releases ethylene, to keep product fresh for up to 2-3 weeks.

Potatoes and Root Veggies

Keep potatoes at room temperature. They brown when stored cold. Store them away from ethylene-producing fruits and vegetables like bananas and onions.

Other root veggies like beets and carrots can refrigerate. They don’t produce ethylene so you can keep them next to leafy greens and berries.

Citrus

You can refrigerate citrus, or you can leave it out.

Not all citrus responds to ethylene the same. Oranges and grapefruits aren’t sensitive while lemons and limes are.

Citrus best suits a dual approach. Keep it out, and then refrigerate whatever you don’t use before it turns.

Apples, Pears, Bananas

These three fruits emit a high amount of ethylene. Keep them away from leafy greens, sensitive root vegetables, and citrus fruit.

You can refrigerate apples and pears. If you do, put them in one of these sustainably manufactured bags to keep produce fresh. They last longer bagged.

Don’t refrigerate bananas. The cold, moist air causes bananas to brown faster.

Stone Fruit, Berries, Avocados

Avocados are impossible. You buy them hard as a rock. Blink twice and they’ve rotted.

You can keep ripe avocados in the fridge. Firm, unripe avocados can last up to two weeks refrigerated.

Stone fruits like cherries, peaches, plums, and nectarines ripen at room temperature. Berries soften and grow mold if not refrigerated.

Refrigerate these fruits, but keep them away from apples and pears. They are ethylene sensitive.

Produce Lifehacks

There are so many neat tricks to keep your produce fresh. Try some of these to save money and prevent waste.

Water

Most produce loses life when it loses water. You can keep your produce fresher longer by using water to keep it alive.

Vegetables like asparagus and kale store well in jars of water. Think of this as placing flowers in a vase of water.

Trim the ends and submerge them in a jar filled with tap water. They’ll keep in your fridge for up to two weeks!

This is also a great way to get a few extra days from your fresh herbs.

Paper Bags

Storing tomatoes in paper bags causes them to ripen. It’s a great trick for when you have a green tomato you want to eat soon.

Paper bags also extend the freshness of other produce such as mushrooms. The paper absorbs moisture, keeping your mushrooms and corn fresh and dry.

Freezing

Freezing your fresh herbs in olive oil is a great way to maintain their freshness for a very long time. This way you have the flavor of fresh herbs all year long.

Use an ice cube tray for this trick. Chop your herbs and place them in the cube molds. Fill the molds with olive oil and freeze.

Citrus also freezes well. Buying large quantities of lemons and limes means we can’t always use them before they turn. Slice them then freeze the slices on a baking sheet.

Once they’re frozen, bag and store in your freezer.

Paper Towels

Keeping lettuce fresh is about mitigating moisture. Too little moisture dries it out. Too much moisture and the lettuce turns soggy.

Separate the leaves of a fresh head and layer with paper towels. The paper towels absorb the excess moisture and keep your lettuce fresh and crisp.

Vinegar

Refrigerating berries keeps them fresh. They still go soggy or grow mold too fast. Keep them fresher longer with a vinegar soak!

Mix a solution of three parts cold water to one part white vinegar. Submerge and soak the berries for at least a minute. Strain and rinse with fresh cold water.

Dry the berries with a paper towel and store them in a vented container lined with paper towels.

Tweak Your Fridge

You’ve bought the best produce bags. You take care to store your fruits and vegetables. Do they still turn too fast?

Your refrigerator settings might not be correct.

Temperature

Experts say 37°F is the best refrigerator temperature to keep your food fresh. It’s warm enough to prevent ice crystals that damage produce. It’s cold enough to keep everything crisp.

A freezer temperature of 0°F keeps your frozen produce safe and fresh.

Crisper Settings

Your crisper drawer’s humidity settings contribute to freshness. One drawer is set for high humidity, and the other for low.

Keep leafy greens, herbs, and other ethylene-sensitive vegetables in the high humidity drawer. Store high ethylene-producing fruits and vegetables in the low humidity drawer.

Blanching and Freezing

The grocery store and farmer’s markets have sales you can’t turn down. Buying a lot of sale items is a great way to save money. You’re not saving money if you throw this produce away.

Don’t throw produce away. Blanch and freeze it to keep it fresh year-round.

Start by boiling a pot of water. Then trim and cut the vegetables. Once the water boils, submerge the vegetables in the water and let them cook.

Once they’re cooked, drain the pot. Submerge the cooked vegetables in ice water. This ice water bath halts the cooking process.

Strain the produce from the ice water and dry. Portion into freezer bags once dry.

Learn the Art of Meal Planning

Using your produce is a race against time. You can extend its freshness. It won’t stay fresh forever.

Keep your produce fresh and save money by meal planning.

Strategy

It doesn’t matter if you’re single or feeding a family of four. Each trip to the grocery store should have a plan. Map out your meals for the week and buy the right ingredients.

Another way to strategize is to have a repertoire of meals and buy whatever produce is on sale.

Prep Work

Don’t let your fresh produce linger. Cut and cook it while it’s fresh to use for later meals.

Big batches of soups and sauces can be used during the week. They also freeze well.

Learn How to Keep Produce Fresh and Prevent Waste

We waste so much food in America. It’s a moral concern. So many of our neighbors face food insecurity.

It also drains our wallets.

Throwing away fruits and vegetables is like throwing away handfuls of money. So stop doing it. Follow these tips and learn how to keep produce fresh.

Why Investing In Renewable Energy Stocks Should be Part of Your Investment Plan

by Megan Kioulafofski March 1, 2021

Why We Should Invest in Renewable Energy

Wondering whether investing in the renewable energy industry is a wise decision? In today’s post we are going to discuss 5 aspects that anyone thinking about investing in renewable energy stocks should take into account.

Our planet is at a time when it needs our help to survive and prosper. In this current world, those that have money set aside for investments have the opportunity to make a big difference. And that’s one of the reasons why investments in the environment be it in forestry, agriculture, conservation, or renewable energy, have grown in popularity in the past few years.

If you’re curious to discover what makes this sector so appealing for many, here’s why we should all invest in the environment, and specifically why we should invest in renewable energy.

1. The Return

If you are looking for a great investment idea that has growth potential, and can bring back wonderful returns in a short space of time, investing in renewable energy should be on your agenda. With all major companies looking at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and switching to clean energy, green stocks can bring returns of up to 8% on your investment right away. To make it all more official, you should use a physicaladdress to ensure that any post you get in relation to your energy portfolio will go to a reputable place, and not your home. Also, allow your investment documents to be held somewhere professional for credibility purposes.

2. Stability

If you’ve ever made an investment before, you probably know that there will always be risks which need to be assessed before making a final decision. The beauty of global clean energy is that its renewable. Unlike investing in the oil and gas industry which is unstable, water, wind and solar energies are constant, giving you a guarantee that green energy works, and will continue to work for a long time to come. This makes the alternative energy sector a better choice for investment if you are in it for the long haul.

3. Low Risk

When companies build solar panels or wind turbines, there is little risk that the technology will fail. Due to the simplicity of harnessing energy from nature, investing in renewable energy has lower risks of the machinery falling through. This puts your mind at ease, and allows you to invest in the renewable energy industry without worry.

4. The Planet

It’s simple really: when we use energy sources like coal, or oil and gas, we end up increasing the fossil fuel production, and thus release toxic gases into the atmosphere. This in turn pollutes our environment and damages the ozone layer. If we continue to do this, we will just contribute to climate change and warm up the atmosphere to a ridiculous rate. Soon, we may not even be able to grow crops any longer.

To save the planet, we need to use the resources it gives us. By doing this, we can power our houses, our offices, and everything else we need in modern life without damaging the place we call home. If you love our world, energy efficiency and investing in new energy sources are a no-brainer.

5. It’s Long Term

Renewable energy is a long-term investment. And as a long-term investment, it means that investing in renewable energy stocks is more than worth the financial burden you bear to begin with. Rather than choosing an investment which is more like a cut and run affair, investing in renewable energy is wonderfully trusted, and offers you the option to invest in it for years and years. You can support the planet by investing in an ever-growing industry, that in turn will bring a great return to support yourself and the people you love.

Should You Invest In Green Energy Investments?

Renewable energy is a wonderful choice for anyone thinking about investing in the health and happiness of our planet. It’s also a great option if you want to ensure that you will make a great return on your money.

And if we got you convinced that by investing in renewable energy stocks you are certain not to regret anything, why not have a look at some other posts you might find useful:

Green Spring Cleaning Tips

by Megan Kioulafofski February 13, 2021
5 minutes read

Can spring cleaning be done in an eco-friendly way? Why not! Learn how to go green when tidying up your home, with these 5 spring cleaning tips.

With spring just about ready to sprung, and winter retreating as fast as the days fly by, it’s about that time of year when most of us start thinking about the big post winter clean. Love it or hate it, it’s something that needs to be done if you want to enter the new season in a positive frame of mind.

But something that can cause a number of concerns for those that choose to live an eco-friendly life, is that spring cleaning isn’t always as green as it could be. Luckily, this can all change as there are plenty of hacks to get you through household cleaning in an environmentally conscious way. Read on to find out more!

Should You Keep Old Newspapers?

Absolutely! If you want to go green this year while doing the spring cleaning, the old newspapers lying around most homes can be used as a mirror and window cleaner. In fact, you will be nicely surprised to discover that old newspapers will give you a wonderful streak-free shine, better than the one you get from most cleaning cloths. It’s even better if you use vinegar and water in equal parts to create a diluted green cleaning solution. With these two natural ingredients, your house will not only look sparklingly clean, but will also feel incredibly fresh.

Wondering What To Do With Old Towels?

Old towels don’t have to be thrown away. They can have a wide range of other uses and can play a big role in helping you go green for spring cleaning. Looking for some tips? Here’s one tip you might have never thought of. Did you know that you can place a towel in the dryer to dry your clothes faster?

Wondering how to do it? It’s easy. Just throw in a clean, dry towel for just 15 minutes at the start of the cycle, and then remove it. Your drying cycle will be shorter (and thus more energy-efficient) because the towel will have soaked up a lot of the water from the wet clothes. Alternatively, if the weather is good enough, hang your clothes outside to dry; you’ll love the fresh scent they pick up, and you won’t be using any energy at all.

green spring cleaning tips using natural products

Ditch All Chemical Cleaning Products

Chemical-based household cleaners are bad, and that’s a fact! Chemicals are bad for the environment, they can cause many health problems, and they’re bad for your wallet since they cost a huge amount of money. Yet aren’t they the best things for the job?

The answer is no, they’re not. Even more when you are planning to do a green spring cleaning. You’ll get wonderful results using natural cleaning supplies, and you’ll find that they do just as good a job when it comes to killing germs and bacteria as well. You can find out where to buy natural cleaning products online with a simple search, and there is sure to be something that suits your budget. Finally you can clean your home properly without feeling guilty about damaging the environment.

Need Help Cleaning The Microwave?

The microwave is among those household items that can often be forgotten unless of course you’re using it often. The inside is hidden from view, and easily neglected because of this. When you do notice that it needs cleaning, it can be a real task – scrubbing the walls of a microwave means a lot of hard work in a very confined space.

There is an easier, and entirely green way to do this during spring cleaning, which ensures that your microwave is sparkling cleaning. Place a mixture of vinegar, water, and lemon juice in a mug or bowl (half-filled) and place it in the microwave. Run the machine on full power for five minutes, and when it’s done, any debris will be loose and quickly wiped away.

Don’t Forget To Ventilate

Nothing works better at taking out smoke, dust, cooking odours, and air pollution of your home than opening the windows wide and letting fresh air come in. Healthy indoor air is crucial in terms of well-being, that’s why proper ventilation is one of the best green spring cleaning tips we can share with you.

6 Actionable Ways To Go Green In 2021

by Megan Kioulafofski February 13, 2021
7 minutes read

What Are Some Ways To Go Green?

Many of us start a new year with aspirations to achieve goals and hit targets. If you’ve decided that 2021 is the year to go green, this guide should come in handy. Here are some actionable ways to go green you can start applying in your life today, to reduce environmental impact.

Getting from A to B

Most of us need to get out and about on a regular basis to get to work, or run errands.  When looking for how to go green, while it may not be possible or viable to cut out traveling altogether, there are ways to embrace eco-friendly commuting and to reduce your carbon footprint.

If you usually drive to work, it may be possible to use public transport or car share with your coworkers. You can also walk, run or cycle, or you may consider swapping your current car for a hybrid or electric vehicle. Small changes can make a big difference to the environment, especially over the course of time. As well as contributing to protecting the planet, going green can also save you money. If you run or ride a bike to work, or you swap a gas-guzzling vehicle for an environmentally friendly car, you may be surprised at how much you save.

Reduce Plastic Usage

One of the simplest and most effective ways to go green at home is by reducing plastic usage. We have become so accustomed to using plastic for a vast range of products, that many of us go about our days without even thinking about how much plastic we use in an average week or month.

From foods to water bottles and carrier bags, our homes are often packed with plastic. If you’re keen to try and decrease the amount of plastic you buy, there are some very simple strategies you can employ. Look into buying a reusable cup or flask for hot and cold drinks, swap plastic bags for paper carrier bags or reusable shopping bags that you’ll own for life, and look for products that are packed in recyclable materials. Make sure that you recycle as much plastic waste as you can. Here is a perfect bundle to get started:

Save Energy

Have you ever thought that your energy bills seem alarmingly high? Do you often walk into rooms with the TV and the lights on, despite the fact that nobody is in there?

Most of us are guilty of wasting energy and these energy costs are not only impacting our bank balances, but also the Earth. We can all do our bit to save energy, and there are several ways to go green which are both energy saving, and help decrease energy bills at the same time.

From turning lights off and using smart appliances, to installing a smart meter and turning appliances off at the socket, it’s very easy to make a difference. Switching to energy-efficient light bulbs is another simple solution. It’s also beneficial to wait until your dishwasher and washing machine have full loads before running them, or ensure that you turn off lights if you’re leaving the room, or going to bed.

If you find that your bills rocket in the winter months, insulating your home is an excellent, cost-effective way to go green, and reduce energy consumption. If you can retain heat and prevent warm air escaping, this will ensure you are cozy and comfortable without having the heating on all day. Also, investigate roof and cavity wall insulation, plug gaps under doors and in walls, and consider double glazing if you don’t currently have double glazed windows and doors.

Embrace Sustainable Shopping

We live in a world where it’s possible to buy products at the touch of a button. We are used to online shopping, we have myriad stores at our disposal, and many of us buy far more than what we need. If you find that you have clothes that still have their tags on months after you’ve bought them, or your cupboards are full of items you never use, try and change your attitude towards shopping to reduce waste, and embrace sustainability.

Wondering what are some easy ways to go green when shopping?

Focus on quality, rather than quantity, look for value and ask yourself whether you really need that item before you commit to buy. Stop buying out of impulse or just because there are sales. Look for brands and businesses that support eco-friendly initiatives, and use sustainable materials, and resources and shop with companies that are aligned with your values.

Renewable Energy

Renewable energy sources produce power through natural resources like solar and wind power. If you don’t already receive energy from renewable sources, investigate your options, undertake research, and see how you could benefit from switching to green energy.

There are various options to go green, including installing solar panels at home or signing up to a provider that generates energy through renewable sources. If you live in an area where sunshine is plentiful, and you’re keen to explore solar power, it’s worth getting quotes from different companies and finding out if you are eligible for financial grants or assistance. You may have to cover the cost of installation, but once your panels are up and running, you should find that your energy bills decrease dramatically.

Save Water

How often do you indulge in a hot water bath or leave the water running while you brush your teeth, or wash the dishes? Many of us waste water and it’s not until you start looking for ways to go green and start analyzing your habits, that you realize just how much water you use in an average day, week, or month.

We all need to use water, but there are often opportunities to reduce usage and save water. Try to avoid having baths on a regular basis and opt for a quick shower instead. Turn the tap water off while you’re brushing your teeth and use a bowl to wash the dishes. Only boil as much warm water as you need if you’re filling the kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee and collect and reuse rainwater. You can use rainwater to water your plants or clean the car, for example.

How To Increase Solar Panel Efficiency

by Megan Kioulafofski January 30, 2021
7 minutes read

In the past few years, solar energy usage has exploded in popularity. But with not enough knowledge about solar panel installation and functionality, many are left wondering how to increase the efficiency of solar power.

In this blog we’ll have a look at why choosing the right solar panel output can make or break your experience of going green. We’ll also discuss some of the best solar panel alternatives for those wishing to stay away from plastic.

With climate change being considered one of the greatest threats to biodiversity, shifting towards energy efficiency, fossil fuels reduction, and waste management are vital to our planet. Solar panels are a great source of energy conversion proficiency. However, when choosing a solar system for your home, you should make sure that it doesn’t contain any plastic elements, especially if you are trying to live a genuinely eco-friendly existence. Also, keep in mind that solar panels do not work unvaryingly under all conditions, and there are certain factors that can affect efficiency.

With this being said, what factors affect solar panel efficiency?

And how can solar energy efficiency be improved?

How To Increase Solar Panel Efficiency?

If you are looking for how to increase solar panel efficiency and performance, consider following these steps:

    • To improve solar transformation, ensure that the panels are facing the right way
    • Adjust solar panel orientation throughout the year
    • Balance production and consumption
    • Keep your solar panels clean and debris free
    • Use a monitoring system

How Are Solar Panels Made?

If you are committed to green living solutions and you want to ensure that you are not adding extra plastic to landfill sites, you should research how solar panels are built. While it is possible to have plastic-free solar panels, you should review all of your options before sourcing your chosen option.

Alternatives to Solar Panels?

If you want to know how to increase solar panel efficiency in the most eco-friendly way possible, there are many different alternatives to commercial solar panels that do not include plastic. You could investigate the following options that create an efficient solar energy using natural resources, and thus allowing you to keep ethically centred in an eco-friendly way of life.

Solar lights work independently of the leading electricity network and their functionality is based on a solar battery rather than a power cable. The solar module captures sunlight via a photovoltaic effect, also called a solar cell technology, and converts it into direct electrical current.

Sun Tunnels

Sun Tunnels are a creative addition to any area of your home where it’s too much shade, and where it has not been possible to gain the benefits of natural light. The sun tunnel channels sunlight from the roof to the specified room below, through a highly reflective tube.

Solar Shingles

Also known as photovoltaic shingles, solar shingles are an integral photovoltaic (PV) building product, They mimic the appearance and function of conventional roofing materials. while performing their core task of generating electricity.

Solar Ovens

Solar ovens use solar energy to emit heat and light from the sun, enabling you to cook your food simultaneously. Solar ovens can also be used to pasteurize water and sterilize equipment.

Solar Air Conditioning

Solar photovoltaic air conditioning has the highest efficiency when it comes to converting sunlight into electricity. The air conditioning unit works the same as a typical split system, through an array of solar cells interacting with the sun.

Solar Water Heater

If you want to know how to increase solar panel efficiency, and are open to alternatives too, solar water heaters can provide your home with an endless supply of energy, with no CO2 emissions during the time the solar heater is in operation. It is a cost-cutting means to generate a constant renewable energy source, and it uses less energy to heat a medium-sized room. Solar thermal systems can be easily integrated into the existing heating systems within your home. If you want to learn how to make your own solar water heater, you can learn some interesting tips and tricks by following this link.

How To Make Your Own Solar Panels?

We know that you came on this page looking for how to increase solar panel efficiency. But did you know that you can make your own solar panels in a way which is not only efficient, but also cost-effective and plastic-free?

Want to find out how? Follow these steps:

    • Prepare the backing of your panel. For DIY solar panel builders use a wooden board as the base for the solar cells. When building the board, you should drill holes in the board so that wires for each cell can pass through the board.
    • Wire all of your cells together. If you don’t know electric work, you can engage an electrician to solder all of the cells in place.
    • Attach the cells to your backing board. This approach will ensure that you can easily replace a single cell if it is not working effectively.

Going Back To Nature

The use of solar panels and alternative forms of generating the energy we need in our homes is moving forward rapidly. But let’s take a moment to look at our future and while taking a quick look at the past as well. There are striking revelations into how we can generate electricity in the future that will blend naturally with our natural environment, and support it rather than damaging, or destroying it. And with new technologies and natural resources coming constantly into view, energy sources may soon be derived from the oceans and volcanoes.

Whichever route or option you decide to take, think green and think about the planet. The choices you make today will affect generations to come. 2 Recipes To Make a DIY Natural Deodorant

by Megan Kioulafofski January 25, 2021
7 minutes read

Body odor is natural, but there are people who suffer from it more than others. Especially, if the weather is humid and you have a hectic schedule, the underarm gush can be super tough to manage.

Almost everyone has experienced the issue of body odor at some point. And, the first thing that comes to the mind when smelling bad is to wear a deodorant. While there are many factors that play a role in the way you smell such as your hygiene, diet, drinking water, and more, and making changes to these can improve your odor; a deodorant will still be a major part of it.

However, finding the right deodorant can be a difficult task. What makes it even more hard is that there are a myriad of options available in the market, and most of them include ingredients that really don’t suit every type of skin. You cannot afford to apply aluminium and other strong additives every day and cause harm to the sensitive skin of your underarms.

So, what can you do?

Don’t panic! There’s a solution for every problem.

Opting for a Natural Deodorant is a great choice.

What Makes Natural Deodorant the Right Choice?

A natural deodorant is a great deal smell-wise and doesn’t even have any potentially harmful ingredients. It replaces chemicals and irritants with naturally derived items such as coconut oil, shea butter, baking soda, vitamin E, etc.

Though you can get a great variety in the market, nothing is more satisfying than making a fragrant and natural formula yourself that actually works. Moreover, this is being written from my experience as I haven’t been able to find the specific deodorant for myself.

When I found out that a natural deodorant can be easily made at home and is a simple DIY task, it made me so happy and I was obviously too excited to try it.  I couldn’t make a better decision for keeping my armpits healthier.

How to Make a Natural Deodorant at Home?

Here I’m sharing two of my favourite recipes that I tried and these worked amazing for me.

One of them includes baking soda, and I’ve read that it doesn’t suit some people and causes rashes. So, you can try on a small part of your skin before preparing the deodorant with it.

The other recipe includes shea butter and I love its softness.

You can customize the deodorant recipes as per your scent preferences with adding essential oils. Also, if you like unscented versions, feel free to omit them.

Recipe 1

Coconut Oil Deodorant at Home

This is an easy recipe made with just a few ingredients and is effective in keeping your body odor away.

Ingredients:

    • Organic cornstarch or arrowroot – ¼ cup
    • Baking soda – ¼ cup
    • Coconut Oil – 6 Tbsp
    • Essential Oils – Optional and according to your choice.

Follow these instructions and get started.

Step 1. Take a medium sized bowl. Add arrowroot and baking soda to it and mix them together.

Step 2. Add coconut oil to this mixture and use a fork to mash it properly until it has mixed well.

Step 3. If you want, you can add essential oils too.

Step 4. Store the mixture in an old deodorant bottle or in a small jar for easy use.

Recipe 2

Shea Butter Deodorant at Home

This natural homemade deodorant requires more ingredients than the above recipe but will result in an awesome formula.

Preparation Time: 20-25 minutes.

Ingredients:

    • Coconut Oil – 3 Tbsp
    • Shea Butter – 2 Tbsp
    • Baking Soda – 3 Tbsp
    • Arrowroot Powder or Organic Cornstarch (optional) – 2 Tbsp
    • Essential Oils – Optional

Follow these easy steps and get started.

Step 1. Take a quart size mason jar and add coconut oil and shea butter to it. Mix them well.

Step 2. Take a small saucepan of water and place the mason jar in it.

Step 3. Put it over low heat, and heat it until the shea butter and coconut oil have just melted.

Step 4. Once done, remove it from the heat and add arrowroot (if using) and baking powder.

Step 5. Mix all the ingredients properly.

Step 6. If you decide to use essential oils, add them as well.

Step 7. Pour the mixture into a glass jar for storage. No need to store it in the refrigerator.

Step 8. As per your preference, let the mixture cool down and pour it into an old deodorant bottle for easy use.

Step 9. Enjoy a pleasant formula!

Notes – The mixture of this deodorant may take a few hours to harden and it can be sped up by putting into the fridge for a few minutes.

Benefits of Using a Natural Deodorant

Being a woman who has struggled a lot with the issue of body odor and someone who has always been cautious to use fragrances and avoid the ones with strong chemicals and ingredients, finding this natural deodorant recipe has been a life-changing experience for me.

Honestly, I have tried many deodorants before I stumbled upon the natural formulas, and they didn’t really work for me.

When I began to use natural deodorant, I could feel a great difference as my armpits started to feel a little less sweatier and with time it seemed to be highly effective.

The following are a few advantages of using a natural deodorant over a regular deodorant:

    1. Doesn’t include any harmful ingredients and thus is safe to use.
    2. Keeps your confidence boosted and your underarm skin healthy.
    3. Doesn’t clog pores, and allows you to sweat while eliminating body odor.
    4. Keeps you feeling cool and fresh for a long time.
    5. Can be made easily with DIY recipes.

Even if you do not feel like making a deodorant yourself, you should really try to give it a shot! It’s always better to know what you’re putting on your skin. Trust me, it’s a really good and satisfying feeling to create your own deodorant.

If you try these recipes, feel free to share your views in the comments below.

FAQs

Can I prepare this recipe without coconut oil? Is there any alternative to it?

Yes. Coconut oil can easily be replaced with half as much of a liquid oil such as avocado, jojoba, or almond oil, especially in the second recipe of shea butter deodorant. This will result in a thinner product.

I’m getting rashes after using this DIY deodorant recipe. Did I do something wrong or missed on anything?

All the ingredients are natural and safe to use, except baking soda. There are people who do not react positively to it and develop and underarm discoloration or get a rash. If this is happening with you, then it’s recommended to stop using this product immediately until you’re able to find a solution to this issue.

Also, there are rare chances that your sensitive underarm skin is reacting negatively to the optional ingredient, that is, essential oils. If you’re adding those too, make sure to keep a check.

Another scenario is that you’ve switched immediately from a regular formula to a natural one without going for armpit detox. You can use a simple clay-based armpit detox to get rid of the chemicals from past deodorant use that may have been stored in the underarm and lead to a bad rash.

My clothes are getting stained after using this homemade deodorant recipe. How should I fix that?

Though it’s not a common result of using a natural deodorant and even I haven’t had trouble while using a natural formula too. But, if you’re facing this issue it might because you’re using too much of the deodorant at one time and not giving it enough time to absorb it into your skin before dressing up.

I prefer using a small amount and it’s not needed much, wait for a few minutes and then get dressed. In this way, it absorbs completely into the underarm skin and there are no stains on my clothes.

Go ahead, try these wonderful recipes, and get rid of BO! If you have any questions and would like to share your thoughts after trying these, I would love to hear from you!

4 Eco-Friendly Lipsticks For That Ethical Pout

by Megan Kioulafofski January 21, 2021

Eco Friendly Lipsticks For The Perfect Pop Of Color

Beauty means different things to all of us and we all have distinct regimes that help us feel great inside and out. Some of us find beauty when walking in nature, or admiring a pretty painting, for others beauty comes from having a good hair day or wearing the right makeup. In the words of Gwyneth Paltrow, ‘Beauty, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.’ Frankly, it’s a fair point! But what about wearing eco-friendly lipsticks that not only make us feel beautiful, but are also produced with respect to environmental issues? Talk about a win-win beauty situation!

Most of us know that not all lipstick or makeup brands choose to adopt earth-friendly practices. But in today’s world, with all the environmental problems we are facing, it’s important that we buy responsibly, and support the beauty brands who put the planet first. If you are looking for some earth-kind and natural lipstick choices, maybe these following suggestions will inspire you.

1. Eco Bella

Using solely eco-friendly production practices, the Eco Bella brand wants you to ‘flower your lips’, (which we must admit, does sound pretty fun!).

Eco Bella’s FlowerColor lipsticks are made from vegetable waxes, oils, and pigments, and extracts from plants and flowers. All of their 100% natural lipsticks are petroleum and fragrance-free, and naturally preserved. A great majority of them are also vegan, with just a few shades including carmine such as the ‘Claret Rose’ and ‘Grape’.

2. Axiology

Looking for lip products that use only natural ingredients and are non toxic? Axiology lipsticks are ‘100% evil free’, and they’ve got some seriously cute colors to choose from. The brand uses only nourishing and certified organic ingredients, including vitamin E oil, elderberry extract, and coconut oil. Some of their top-selling shades of lipsticks include ‘bonafide’ red and ‘attitude’ pink. When you buy a lipstick from Axiology, you are not only making a healthy choice for yourself, but you also help give a positive example. By supporting eco-friendly brands, you’ll drive consumer demand, encouraging other brands to follow suit.

3. Jane Iredale

Jane Iredale produces mineral cosmetics, made without phthalates, synthetic fragrances, parabens, and GMO ingredients. They have a range of 15 lovely shades to sample, all with a creamy matte finish, so there’s a choice for any skin tone and all lip color. These lipsticks are made with Morigina oil, which is perfect to soothe and hydrate your lips and as a delicious bonus, you’ll taste the delicious blackberry and vanilla extracts when applying them on your lips. The brand has plenty of eco friendly items to choose from, whether you’re looking for a foundation, mascara or a lipstick.

4. 100% PURE

100% Pure lipsticks are toxin-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and completely natural, with ingredients such as fruit pigments, cocoa butter, vitamin E, and shea butter. Every product is packaged with reusable eco friendly packaging materials. These lip balms are cruelty free and vegan, and come in many shades such as black rose, hibiscus, and peony.

Accessories And Beauty Products To Complete Your Look

For a color pop of confidence, there’s nothing better than a new eye-catching lipstick shade. A major component of the cosmetics industry, lipstick is so celebrated in the beauty world that it even has its own (unofficial) holiday. ‘National Lipstick Day’ is on July 29 every year, so pop it in your diary!

While choosing the right lipstick for you can be tricky, it’s just all about trying out a few colors, and seeing what takes your fancy. With these lovely green products, you can look great and give back to the earth at the same time.

And since each lipstick shade fits certain looks better, to complete your look, why not try buying a few accessories or clothes that match perfectly with your new eco friendly lipsticks?

You could try a scarf, an organic cotton tote bag for all day activities, or even a dress in the same shade? Alternatively, you could try matching your jewelry or piercings? Shop for earrings, nose rings, or septum rings in the same color. And in case you are wondering what is a septum piercing why not check the Urban Body Jewellery website and choose the one you like the most.

8 Eco Friendly Shopping Switches To Make This Year

by Megan Kioulafofski January 11, 2021
8 minutes read

If this is the year you’ve decided to shop greener, you’re not alone! More Americans are embracing going green in order to lower their carbon footprint. If you’re new to a more sustainable lifestyle, it can be tricky to navigate everything you should be doing.

Luckily, there are many products available to help make the transition easier. You’ll realize that going green is a lot more simple than you expected! Let’s get started with the 8 eco-friendly shopping switches for you to make this year.

1. Stainless Steel Water Bottle

One of the best changes you can make, if you haven’t already, is to quit using plastic water bottles and get a reusable water bottle. Plastic water bottles require a lot of use to produce plus they end up in landfills, streams, and oceans. There are a variety of options for reusable water bottles but they’re not all made equal.

Avoid buying a plastic reusable water bottle since it requires a lot of resources to create and will be as damaging as a traditional water bottle. You also aren’t able to carry hot liquids in it and if you try to, you’ll be creating toxic byproducts.

The best option for a water bottle is a stainless steel option. This doesn’t require the same amount of oil to create and it reduces plastic waste to zero.

2. Wooden Toothbrushes

With over a billion plastic toothbrushes thrown away a year, it’s time to make a change to the dental products we use. One of the ways to do that is to find eco-friendly toothbrushes.

There’s a variety of options to choose from, everything from replaceable heads to bamboo toothbrushes. Wooden toothbrushes are a wonderful alternative because not only does it help reduce environmental pollution and plastic waste but bamboo has antibacterial properties so you can avoid toxins.

3. Reusable Shopping Bags

You may have noticed the more frequent use of reusable shopping bags. This is because plastic bags need fossil fuels to export and are non-biodegradable. A reusable shopping bag reduces the amount of non-renewable resources but helps reduce plastic bag waste that ends up infiltrating natural environments.

Reusable shopping bags are also more durable. You won’t have to worry about flimsy plastic bags that break, spilling your groceries all over the street. Plus, they come in different designs and styles that add a nice personalized touch.

4. Recycled Aluminum Foil

Did you know that aluminum foil is more harmful to the environment than plastic wrap? Creating aluminum foil causes a myriad of problems, including water pollution and human health concerns. The raw material in aluminum requires a lot of energy so if you’re looking to make a change, purchase recycled aluminum foil.

It’s made of 100% recycled aluminum and requires less energy to use. This means less waste while reusing a precious resource. Many people find the idea of sustainable living difficult because they think that they’ll need to give up their favorite products but the reality is, there are eco-friendly versions of everything.

5. Buy More Bulk

It may be difficult to create zero waste overnight but you can make significant changes by reducing the number of plastic containers you use. One of the ways to do this is by purchasing less plastic and finding ways to reduce how much ends up in your trash can. Next time you’re headed to the grocery store, be sure to bring some bulk bags and buy products in bulk!

There’s not only a variety of food options but you can use recycled containers and buy bulk bath products like shampoo and conditioner. Now you don’t need to toss the packaging in the trash whenever you take a trip to the store. It’s better for the environment and it can keep things organized in your home.

6. LED Bulbs

You may have heard of this classic advice when it comes to reducing your carbon footprint but switching conventional bulbs to LED lightbulbs is a great way to go green. Next time you head to the store, be sure to add some LED lightbulbs to the list.

LED lightbulbs are considered eco-friendly because they last significantly longer than traditional bulbs. They last about 20 times longer and this is great for the environment. They’re also up to 80% more energy efficient.

Conventional bulbs can also be harmful to the environment since they contain toxic chemicals and elements, such as mercury. This means that the moment these bulbs are disposed into a landfill, the elements can contaminate the environment.

7. Reusable Produce Bags

As you get ready to bring your new reusable bag to the store, be sure to bring reusable produce bags! Those small plastic bags that you use to fill up with fruits and vegetables have all the negative effects of plastic bags, even if they’re smaller. You can reduce all of those harmful toxins as well as the environmental damage by switching to reusable produce bags.

These are mainly made of cotton and don’t only need to be used to produce! They can be used for any small goodies that would otherwise go in a problematic plastic bag.

8. No More Plastic Straws

There’s a recent surge of awareness of the damage that plastic straws cause. Many coffee shops have switched to paper straws to combat the marine life damage that is caused by plastic. One thing you can do to take it a step further is to purchase your own straws!

There are paper straws you can buy but there’s also metal, bamboo, and a variety of other options. The type you decide to purchase depends on personal taste. Now you have your own eco-friendly option whenever you’re out and need an iced coffee!

Eco-Friendly Shopping Switches

It can be discouraging to scroll through all the news about all the environmental damage over the years. The good news is that more and more people are making the necessary changes to live a greener lifestyle – including you! Don’t be overwhelmed by all the changes you can make, start small, and work your way up.

One of the easiest ways to make a big change is through eco-friendly shopping. Things as simple as using reusable shopping bags and ditching plastic make a huge difference.

Doing Your Part to Help the Planet: Tips and Tricks on How to Stop Using Plastic Products

by Megan Kioulafofski January 11, 2021
7 minutes read

Now more than ever, it’s crucial for each of us to do our part to protect the environment and reverse some of the damage that we’ve caused.

While the onus of environmental protection is on governments and corporations, we have a duty to lower our own carbon footprints where we can. Some people do this by reducing water usage, switching to a more plant-based diet, stopping fast fashion, and more.

We want to talk about plastic, and why it’s important to learn how to stop using plastic (especially single-use plastic) in excess.

It’s a daunting task, stopping the use of plastic products. Plastic is everywhere, so how do you cut down on it?

We want to help. We have a few suggestions that can start you on your journey to a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle. Keep reading to learn more.

What Are the Dangers of Plastic?

So why do we care about this anyway?

Over 80% of marine litter is plastic. This plastic kills over a million seabirds and over one hundred thousand marine animals every year.

We ingest plastic through our cosmetics, foods, and drinks, which may lead to future health problems (including cancer). Plastic production centers contribute to air pollution.

Destruction from plastic costs the world billions of dollars, so why do we keep using it? Well, it’s convenient. We live in a society that values instant gratification and convenience over everything else. It doesn’t help that plastic is cheap, making it accessible to people across income brackets.

If you have financial stability, you can start making changes.

How Can I Cut Down On Plastic Usage?

We can’t change the world by making a few adjustments to our own lives, but when everyone works together, we can make a huge dent in the problem. One of the best things that you can do is vote for green policies so the weight goes onto the government, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t do things at home to make an impact.

There are plenty of ways that you can cut down on your plastic usage by changing some of your day-to-day habits. While it may feel difficult at first, before you know it these things will be a part of your normal routine.

Reducing your plastic consumption doesn’t mean you’ll have a lower quality of life. You’ll find that you’ll end up spending less money (after a few initial investments), producing less garbage, and even living a healthier lifestyle if you make the right changes.

Use Reusable Water Bottles and Mugs

One of the best things that you can do for your wallet and your environment is making the switch to reusable mugs and water bottles.

This might seem obvious to anyone who’s already made the switch, but consider it for a moment. How often are you out and about on a hot day and realize that you need to buy a drink?

Disposable plastic water bottles are expensive and unnecessary. You’re paying for the plastic container, not the water, especially considering most places have some form of water source (in the forms of water fountains or sinks) that you can use for free.

Bring a glass, metal, or (in a pinch) sturdy and reusable plastic water bottle to fill up instead.

Even if you plan on getting a sugary drink like a soda or juice, most places will be happy to put your drinks into your reusable container if you ask.

This goes for coffee as well. We all love our occasional coffee shop treats, right? But even those cardboard cups are often lined with plastic, not to mention the lids and the straws.

Instead, ask the barista if they’re allowed to use your reusable mug instead. If you’re drinking inside the coffee shop, they may even have reusable mugs for you. Your drink will stay warmer and you’ll know that you’re doing a small part for the environment.

Bring Reusable Utensils Around With You

Okay, so we’ve gotten rid of drinking devices, what’s next?

How often do you use single-use plastic utensils and straws? Almost every time you get takeout or fast food, right? Even if you don’t do this often, everyone doing it means that the single-use items add up.

Have you thought of keeping your utensils from home with you? Put them in a small pouch and keep them in your purse or car so you can use them at any time.

You can even buy metal straws that retract so they fit into small spaces.

It’s estimated that over 500 million straws are used in a single day in the United States. You don’t have to contribute to that number. Be a part of the change.

Need Disposable Options? Plastic Isn’t the Only Option

Sometimes we need disposable utensils and plates, even if we don’t want to. Plastic isn’t your only option, though.

When you’re hosting a birthday party for a child, a big event, or providing meals for schools, you can’t get away with using all reusable products. It’s too much.

There are options. Bamboo is a popular alternative for single-use plastics. There are also plenty of new compostable options. These things may not be as sturdy as the plastic items that we’re used to, but considering that they’ll only be used for a short time, it’s a good tradeoff for the health of the environment.

Don’t put convenience ahead of the earth that we live on. We may get infinite plastic plates, but we get one planet.

Don’t Use Bags that You Don’t Need

How often do you know that you could go without a bag, but you choose to use one anyway?

More and more places are putting a price on plastic bags in grocery stores to dissuade people from using them. Others are taking more extreme measures and banning single-use bags.

We’ll talk more about finding reusable bags in a moment, but first, consider opting out when you don’t need a bag at all.

When you pick out produce, do you need a bag for every item? With small things, the answer may be yes. With larger items like bananas and cabbages, though, why bother?

You’re going to rinse the produce at home anyway.

When it comes to your overall shopping trip, if you only have a handful of items, consider leaving the bag out of the equation. It’s a convenience, not a need.

Use Reusable Shopping Bags

Sometimes we do need shopping bags, and that’s okay! When we do large shopping trips or we have many small produce items to carry, there’s nothing wrong with using a tool to help.

This is where reusable shopping bags come into play.

These bags are sturdier than plastic bags, so you shouldn’t ever have the problem of a bag breaking while you’re trying to bring your groceries inside. They’re easy to carry around, and they come in plenty of varieties.

There are even reusable produce bags so you don’t have to use the flimsy bags from the store. While many of us reuse the plastic grocery bags from the check-out lanes, those produce bags aren’t good for much aside from produce.

You don’t need to use them when there are better options available.

Buy Bulk Foods

Another great way to make your grocery trips plastic-free is by buying bulk foods. Look for places that allow you to put foods in your own containers so you don’t have to use plastic bags to hold them. You may have to weigh your container first to get an accurate price.

This is a great way to reuse old containers like jars.

Many things that we use every day can be bought in bulk, like spices, candies, and cereals that would otherwise use disposable plastic containers.

Glass not only makes them easier to sort and store, but it’s also more aesthetically pleasing in your cabinets. You can have a well-designed space with the benefit of knowing you’re doing good work for the environment.

Replace Plastic Tupperware

Speaking of reusable items, we should be striving to replace all of our reusable plastic items as well.

A note: it’s not good for the environment to throw away perfectly good plastic containers. While it seems helpful in theory, in practice you’re contributing to waste. Remember, “reuse” is one of the primary “Rs.”

However, when your reusable plastic containers wear out, it’s time to replace them. There are other options.

We love glass for the things that we have to store every day, like leftovers. It’s easy to clean, easy to heat up, and we can see what’s inside it for quick and easy access.

Metal is a great option for lunchboxes. It retains heat and cold well.

Regardless of what you choose, once your reusable plastic containers have worn out their welcome, replace them with alternatives that are better for the environment.

Avoid Single-Serving Meals and Snacks

On the topic of plastic containers and grocery stores, try to avoid convenience meals and snacks if you’re trying to cut down on your plastic consumption.

We understand that sometimes time is tight and you need to grab the occasional quick snack. Do your best, though, to meal plan ahead of time when you’re able.

These snacks and convenience meals are packaged in plastic. They have plastic trays, plastic wrappers, and sometimes plastic utensils.

Try bringing healthy snacks, like fresh fruits and vegetables, or granola) with you in your reusable containers. For meals, try to pack a lunch ahead of time and store it in a metal container so you don’t have to worry about it losing too much heat.

You’ll forget about the inconvenience when you adapt to the habit of making your own meals and snacks. Your wallet will thank you as well.

Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Then Recycle

Most people only use three of the “Rs” when they’re talking about helping the environment: reduce, reuse, and recycle. These are great things to keep in mind and it provides a catchy mnemonic device to teach children how to do their part early-on.

There are two other parts, though. Refuse and repurpose.

Not all plastic is recyclable. There are piles of unrecycled plastic garbage flowing into the seas and filling landfills worldwide.

While recycling is a fantastic end goal, the first point of attack against environmental damage is refusal. You refuse new plastic products in favor of other products.

The reduction is next. It’s hard to live a modern lifestyle without any plastic products at all. Using alternatives where you’re able is how you reduce your plastic usage.

This is where reusable items come in. Whether you’re using products with an eco-focus in mind, or you have reusable plastics, you’re doing a good thing for the environment.

Repurpose is next. What can you use these plastics for so you don’t have to throw them away? Some people make wallets, others make fun DIY items for around the house.

The last step is recycling. While recycling does a lot of good for the environment, it isn’t going to save the world.

Now That You Know How to Stop Using Plastic, What’s Next?

All we can do is give you the information on how to stop using plastic. Your job is to implement these ideas into your own life.

We won’t lie, changing your habits is a challenge at first. It’s a worthwhile challenge, though, as it will save you money and save the environment at the same time. You’ll find that your home has less garbage and clutter and you’re able to stay more organized.

Once you’ve gotten started on your plastic-free journey, spread the word!

How To Practice Environmental Protection And Conservation From Your Home

Why Is Environmental Protection And Conservation Important?

The world will commemorate the 51st anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, 2021. With this thought in mind, now that most of us are spending a lot of our time working remotely, maybe it’s time you start considering how you contribute to environmental protection and conservation at home. And if you haven’t given it much thought until now, then consider this statistic – in 2019, 70 million tons of pollution got released into the atmosphere in the US alone!

Not sure what environmental conservation is?

Environmental conservation involves all the methods of protection, preservation, management, or restoration of natural environments and the ecological communities that inhabit them. And if you think eco-friendly practices are only helping us fight water pollution, preserve ecosystems or protect the environment from fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions and plastic pollution, think again! Environmental conservation is also helping us survive as a species, both by preventing the emergence of new diseases, and by ensuring we can still benefit from the natural resources we so desperately need.

For those wondering what is the difference between environmental protection and conservation, these two practices are closely linked. The difference comes from the fact that conservation is generally associated with the protection of existing natural resources. Preservation on the other hand is associated with the protection of the environment from harmful human activities. To find out how you can play your eco conservation part, take a look at these three practises below.

companies caring about eco conservation

1. Support Eco-Friendly Companies

Consumers have the purchasing power to decide where their money goes. For that reason, if you’re preoccupied by environmental protection and conservation you should make a deliberate effort to support companies (big or small) that source their products through sustainable means and which care about waste management. In most cases, a percentage of profits from such businesses are dedicated to green trusts. Through this, the company ensures your financial contribution to their product achieves some impact.

For example, by opting for reusable shopping bags and reusable produce bags for your grocery shopping, you cut out the unhealthy practice of using plastic bags. America alone created an astounding 42 million tons of plastic waste only four years ago. Each year, the numbers continue to rise, and you have the power to decelerate this staggering rate.

How do you find such businesses that help with environmental protection and conservation? You have all the information at your fingertips! The answer to this question is the Internet. A simple Google search of companies creating green products in the US will provide all the answers you need. Better yet, you can decide to donate monthly (if you can) to organizations such as the Rainforest Trust or the Conservation Action Fund.

2. Use Your Windows To Regulate The Temperature

Depending on the weather conditions, your windows at home can play a vital role in the eco conservation of energy. For example, during the summer, you enhance adequate cross-ventilation indoors by opening your windows at home. Whereas in the colder months, properly sealed windows will ensure heat conservation. An over-reliance on heat and cooling appliances can be regulated only if you find efficient alternatives. The global energy industry continues to race against time to reverse the damage human activity has caused to nature. If you want to do your part in environmental protection and conservation, you can do that from home, with only the help of your windows.

3. Replace Plastic Bottles With Portable Flasks When Out And About

Instead of buying drinking water from the closest shop when you’re out, choose a better option for the sake of environmental protection and conservation. For example, portable water flasks are ideal containers that help you reduce the number of bottles you would have discarded daily. If your tap is your source of drinking water at home, fill up your portable flask and refrigerate it for that cool hydration you require.

You can look at it from this angle. If fifty Americans used water flasks instead, they would prevent 2,600 non-recyclable bottles from polluting the environment and filling the oceans with waste. If flasks are not your thing, other reusable bottles are ideal choices as well. Ultimately, your aim should be a commitment to replace old practices with eco-friendly ones that are good for both eco conservation and your wellbeing. Indeed, small changes have the power to make a difference.

What Is Your Part In Preserving The Earth’s Natural Resources?

When it comes to environmental protection and conservation little steps may seem like nothing much. But if taken by thousands or millions of people simultaneously, a positive change can be affected. By making these small changes from your home, you will gradually make a difference in the global mission to uphold green practices.

From tree planting in your garden to energy and water conservation or recycling, there are many ways you can show your appreciation for this planet that we all call Home. If you need more inspiration for your your eco-friendly journey, you might find the following content useful:
